Edward D. Land 

Edward D. Land, affectionately known as Don, has faithfully served as a church usher at Liberty
Christian Center since 2025. With a heart for hospitality, he is committed to creating a warm,
welcoming, and orderly worship environment. Don views ushering as more than a role—it is a
ministry of kindness, attentiveness, and service. His goal is for every person who enters the
doors of the church to feel valued, cared for, and comfortable as they experience worship.

Outside of ministry, Don is a proud graduate of Shaw University, earning both his Bachelor and
Master of Social Work degrees. He currently serves as a Social Work Case Manager at Duke,
helping patients transition successfully from hospital care. Don chose Liberty Christian Center
for its strong spiritual covering and prayer-centered leadership, which he deeply values. In his
free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family, eating well, and sharing laughter. His
favorite scripture, Psalm 91, reminds him of God’s constant protection and covering.
